Song Spotlight of the Week

Here it is, the first post.
A big part of my life, since my teens, has revolved around music and I’ve written and recorded a lot of material. Each week I will spotlight a song in my arsenal and will give you some background info, mood and style (for all you music sups), and I will attach either a Soundcloud link or a video.

If you like what you hear, links for Spotify and Apple Music will also be provided, so you could follow me on those.

So without further ado…

Cygne Noir / Gloom (2013)

Gloom is a song about feeling lonely, unwanted and getting to that point where life begins to have no purpose. The songs character is singing the song to his one true love. He wonders if she/he has ever felt the way he does now. Although the answer won’t make things better it may be the only thing that saves him.

Mood: gloomy, dreary, scary, scared, panic attack, nervous breakdown
Style: rock, dubstep, electronic, indie rock
Sounds like: a mixture of The Rapture, The Cure and ‘I Got 5 On It’ by Luniz, with a subtle dubstep beat.
